Walking through Capoliveri means getting lost in a maze of medieval alleys, the famous “chiassi,” which suddenly open onto breathtaking panoramic views. In the evening, the town center comes alive with artisan markets, traditional shops, bars with outdoor seating, and the main square, the true heart of the village, always full of life. Capoliveri is not just about the sea: Monte Calamita, just a short walk from the village, tells the mining history of Elba and today offers an extensive network of trails for hiking or mountain biking. A paradise for nature and sports lovers, it also hosts international events every year, such as the Legend Cup.
Capoliveri is the municipality on Elba Island with the largest number of beaches: an incredible variety, capable of surprising even annual visitors. Within a few minutes by car or scooter you can reach: - 2 km: the intimate coves of Barabarca and Zuccale, or Naregno Beach, ideal for families; - 4 km: Morcone, Pareti, and Malpasso, small sheltered bays, or the wild Calagrande; - 6 km: the famous Innamorata, Lido di Capoliveri, and the picturesque Calanova immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. In summer, the municipality also organizes a shuttle service regularly connecting the town center to the main beaches: convenient and practical for those who prefer not to drive.
